X275 was at the 2010 Performance Racing Industry Show and met with multiple current class sponsors to thank them for their support. We were able to attend the show (thank you Mickey Thompson!) and get the word out on the expansion of X275 up and down the east coast to multiple new contacts and reaffirm our position with our current sponsors. We also met with multiple turbo companies to get the low down on what’s new and let them know what we are looking for out of our 2011 turbo rules/specs. These talks went well and we will have those measurements out very soon so everyone can be on a level playing field. I did notice that several catalogs had our X275 racers in them including Ron Rhodes making the cover of the Calvert Racing – Cal-Trac catalog which was very cool to see!
Richard Midgette and Sean Snodgrass worked with me on Friday to meet with potential class sponsors and Eric Kenward and I met with the owner and tech director of the NMCA/NMRA on Thursday evening to discuss 275 radial in 2011. Thanks guys for putting in so much time and effort towards making our 2011 season a success. I can say that grass roots level racing and the appeal of the class made for some very good talks with people that knew about the class but even more so the folks that did not know about us were very, very interested in helping the class prosper. We will be expanding our current contingency program in 2011 and hopefully will have some press releases very soon giving you racers an opportunity to possibly buy some product that qualifies for those additional contingency dollars.
In appreciation of the sponsorship and support for the 2010 X275 racing season I presented Carl and Tommy of Mickey Thompson, Steve and Marina of Induction Solutions, Bryce Jones of Goodyear Tire and Marlene and Joe of Holeshot Performance Wheels a small token of our appreciation in the form of a small plaque. See the photos below. Each of our local sponsors and tracks will be recieving one the plaques for their support of our class.
